Day #14 Prairie Storm

On this thick sky, thunder-soup day we invite the rain
Elements essential, worthy of the potter's gray
Musings & dreams of sunlight blue held at bay
Objects defined by lines, & comforts soothing grain
Movement lies softly devoid of blood's bold vein
As we gather to choose our path & way
Checking the wind & an inkling of circular fray
Sky celadon, dangerous & sugar-caned
Submit to knowing shelter, or step to the storm?
The hunkered wait of hours uncertain bloom
Or rise up in spring's prairie field - transformed
Fearless & foolish to invite in this tempest norm
We choose, we journey & jump into day's gloom
Or gather to stay ... forewarned.
